Getting Started
How do I know if my loved one needs home care?

How quickly can care start?
Most families have care in place within 24-48 hours. Urgent situations may be faster.
What happens during the first consultation?
We’ll have a conversation—by phone or in your home—to understand your loved one’s needs, answer your questions, and discuss what kind of care might help. No obligation.
Can we meet the caregiver before care begins?
Yes, we encourage an introduction before regular care starts.
Our Services
What's the difference between companion care and personal care?
Companion care focuses on companionship, conversation, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation. Personal care includes help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Do you provide 24-hour care?
Yes, we offer both 24-hour live-in care and round-the-clock shift care depending on your needs.
Do you help with dementia and Alzheimer's?
Yes. Our caregivers receive specialized training in dementia care, including communication techniques, redirection, and creating safe environments.
What if our needs change over time?
We expect that. Your care coordinator will help adjust the plan as your situation evolves—more hours, different services, whatever you need.

How much does home care cost?
Costs vary based on the type of care, hours, and schedule. Contact us for a personalized estimate based on your situation.
What payment options do you accept?
Private pay, long-term care insurance, Medi-Cal (through CalAIM), Regional Center funding, and veterans benefits.

Is CalAIM really free?
Yes. CalAIM is a Medi-Cal benefit. If you qualify, there is no cost to you for covered services.
Caregivers
How do you select and screen caregivers?
Every caregiver undergoes background checks, reference verification, and skills assessment. We also look for something credentials alone can’t capture — a personal reason for doing this work.
What if the caregiver isn't a good fit?
It happens. We’ll work with you to find a better match. Your comfort matters.
Are your caregivers employees or independent contractors?
Employees. They’re covered by our insurance, receive ongoing training, and are supervised by our care team.
CalAIM & Medi-Cal
What is CalAIM?
CalAIM (California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal) is a state program that provides home care services to eligible Medi-Cal members at no cost.
How do I know if I qualify for CalAIM?
If you have Medi-Cal coverage, you may qualify. Contact us and we’ll check your eligibility.
What's the difference between CalAIM and IHSS?
IHSS is a separate county-run program. CalAIM can provide care while you’re waiting for IHSS approval, or supplement your IHSS hours if you need more support.
What is Enhanced Care Management (ECM)?
ECM provides comprehensive care coordination for Medi-Cal members with complex health needs — a dedicated care manager who coordinates providers, connects you to resources, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
