This service can be scheduled for a particular time or provided intermittently to offer supervision and care for the individual.
The Regional Center of Orange County’s Respite Worker Administration (RWA) program and the Inland Regional Center’s Preferred Provider Services (PPS) program enable the family of the Person Served to hire their own caregiver. RWA and PPS caregiver applicants must meet specific criteria including but not limited to registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry, CPR & First Aid certification and training available to equip them with the skills needed to provide respite services.
