Our Story
How We Got Started
Founded in July of 2016, Care Partners was a career-long vision of Randy Platt and Rodney Burris, two healthcare leaders looking to turn their personal stories of caregiving and love into a completely different approach. Their professional philosophy focuses on compassion and love and is built on a foundation of skilled associates with true expertise delivering exceptional care.

Randy Platt
For Randy, caring for people was simply meant to be. He was raised by parents who welcomed and cared for both his grandparents and great aunt in their family home throughout most of his first 15 years of life. Randy watched the compassion, love, and deep care his mother provided for those family members as they aged, and he recognized the sacrifices his father made to lovingly open his home and support what he believed was right, “Take care of those who mean the most to you.” Randy never forgot those words, and the impression his parents gave him has guided his professional and personal life ever since.

Rodney Burris
The foundation of Rodney’s experience was formed at an early age. He spent many years of his life experiencing care – firsthand – as a patient. Rodney has had more than 14 surgical interventions, and each surgery, hospital stay, and discharge left a unique impression on him. The memory of those experiences influences him to this day, and he’s committed to creating a caregiving experience filled with love, trust and skill. While not all his experiences were positive, most of them revealed the truly human side of physicians, nurses, and support staff, who treated him as a person and not just a medical records number. It is that experience that inspires Rodney so very deeply today.

50 Years of Experience
Randy’s and Rodney’s collective journeys span more than 50 years in healthcare services and leadership. Their experience ranges from acute hospital management and physician practice management to skilled intermittent home health, hospice and more, and their expertise has been recognized on a national scale. With a passion for service, Randy and Rodney serve as advisors, consultants, and board members for several distinguished community organizations and universities.
Today, Care Partners has evolved as a unique model focused on what’s best for the patient and family, while directly impacting the cost of care for health systems, government and commercial insurance payers.

When you need home care in Orange County Care Partners Home Care is definitely one to talk to. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate to your situation. For me, it worked out great. I can use them to manage my parents on-call or with a set schedule…typically 3-4 days per week. I know when they are at the house we have nothing to worry about, they will interact with my parents, and make sure they enjoy themselves - a much better solution than putting them into a nursing home or assisted living.

In-home healthcare was the best choice we could make for hospice care at home. It is the perfect solution when you can not be with the ones you love. The schedule I set up was 5 days a week in the afternoons (so I could work without worry) - typically 6-8 hours. The home care team made meals, played games, interacted with, and cared for my father. Excellent!

My family and I were very blessed by the excellent care my mom received in the last month of her life before passing on 5/20/21. She battled metastatic breast cancer and was a warrior in every sense, and the Care Partners was a perfect fit for us. Tifany was fabulous from my very first call to her… she was kind, compassionate and helped us tremendously. Anjanette was my mom’s caretaker and we LOVED her!! She was so gentle, respectful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor! We all looked forward to her visits! My mom loved her and my dad appreciated her company. There are a lot of caretaking companies out there, so it was tough to decide on one. I’m so grateful for the Care Partners and HIGHLY recommend them!!

In-home care agencies are a dime a dozen, but every once in awhile you come across a sliver dollar. Care Partners is that silver dollar and undoubtedly the best in in-home care providers. I have been a professional in the senior living industry for more the 13 years and have never come across a home care agency that has the professionalism, culture, passion, and expertise that Care Partner demonstrates daily with this clients, team and community.
